The Australian inventor of Spinmax is a table tennis player with a background in industrial chemistry. The idea was born out of his frustration with the short friction life of table tennis rubber. While elite players with sponsorship are able to enjoy maximum rubber performance by frequent replacement, the majority of players are restricted by the expense of replacement rubber and are forced to contend with the consequent rapid performance deterioration .
